About Hodie et Nunc
Hodie et Nunc (hoh-dee-ay et nungk) — Latin for "Today and Now" — is a luxury leather goods brand built on the single belief that the present moment is worth honoring.
Our hope is to reflect that through our craft.
The Origin
Through the tragic loss of one of his twin daughters, Alice, during birth — Luis Muñoz and his wife María found themselves returning to a simple word of advice from the hospital staff:
To live. One day at a time.
Some days, that meant small victories.
Others, it meant surviving until tomorrow.
It was during this difficult period, that Luis felt inspired to create something to honor the loss of his daughter.
Hodie et Nunc was born, not as a monument to grief, but as a commitment to presence.
The Intention
Luis wanted to create something to accompany the present moment.
A companion to go through moments good and bad—imprinted by all the facets of your personal life.
A leather phone case, to protect your keeper of memories, and age gracefully alongside you.
The Craft
Every single case in the Alice collection is made from premium, full–grain Nappa leather sourced in the Chimborazo mountains. The hides are delicately refined at a local tannery, before arriving in Ambato for hand–assembly.
No visible logos. No trend-driven details.
Just leather, and the prideful craft artisans.
The Commitment
Our collection, dedicated to Alice, will be donating ten percent of all proceeds to organizations supporting families who have lost a child.
